- The group boasts of at least 4 million members who already have their PVCs
The Buhari 2019 Door to Door Ambassadors has revealed that it is planning to raise a whopping N1 billion for the campaign and successful re-election of the president of Nigeria ahead of the forthcoming exercise scheduled for 2019.
The declaration comes days after another group announced it purchased the presidential election form on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for President Muhammadu Buhari.
The crowd fundraising target of N1 billion comes with the tag Nigerians Fund PMB 2019 Primaries and is to be coordinated by the organisation led by Chris Kohol.

The organisation says the crowd funding campaign is initiated by good and patriotic Nigerians to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari’s personality and sterling leadership achievements.
NAIJ.com understands that Buhari 2019 Door-To-Door Ambassadors is a voluntary socio-political organisation birthed chiefly to promote and propagate President Muhammadu Buhari’s administrative achievements through door-to-door outreach and campaigns.
The organisation says it currently has over 4 million PVC-carrying members across the country just within five months of its establishment and targets 37 million members across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as it prepares to embark on full membership mobilisation early next month.
An official statement released by the coordinating organisation said the crowd fundraising would start from Monday, September, 10, by 10am and end on Monday, September, 17, 2018, by 7pm and that the channels of the crowd funding include online payment, bank transfers/deposits and short code SMS.
Kohol reportedly disclosed that the crowd fundraising exercise will be highly transparent as Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFFC), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization 2019 and the Buhari Support Organizations (BSO) have been notified of the crowd funding exercise and have been invited to monitor and audit the exercise.
“President Muhammadu Buhari as a man of integrity and honour has said severally and demonstrated many times that he will not touch any kobo of the public funds unlike some past leaders to facilitate his reelection bid.
“Hence, Nigerians are keen to crowd-fund N1 billion for his presidential primaries to enable him apply the funds to campaign transportation/logistics, campaign materials, non-volunteers salaries, media, advertisement and other key expenses during the Presidential primaries and convention,” Chris Kohol said.

According to him, the planned gesture for the president is as a result of his leadership achievements in the areas of security, agriculture, economy, anti-corruption war, massive infrastructural development among others.
He also hinted that the donated funds would be presented to President Buhari on September 18, by about 37 delegate donors representing the various partnering groups and each state of the federation.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari purchased his form from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to enable him participate in the party’s primary election ahead of the 2019 presidential election.
According to Bashir Ahmad who is the personal assistant to the president on new media, the form was purchased on behalf of the president by a 'group of good Nigerians'.
