What this NYSC member did for primary school students in Abuja will bring tears to your eyes (photos, video)

- Cynthia Eseosa Eghe-Nova has etched her name in gold

- She came to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja for her compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps

- She has made an impact in the lives of the students of a school in the outskirts of the city

‘’We thank you for what you have done. We will not forget you.’’ The students of L.E.A primary school, Gaba in Bwari Area Council chorused in Gbagi language as they surrounded Cynthia.

Cynthia, 26, a graduate of biochemistry in Ambrose Ali University, Edo state renovated 4 classroom block in the school.

‘’It’s a fulfilment of my pledge to Nigeria,’’ an excited Cynthia told NAIJ.com, ‘’it’s also a dream come true for because charity is like a lifestyle.’’

Cynthia says charity is like a lifestyle for her

Indeed, charity is like a lifestyle for Cynthia, before she renovated the classrooms, she had donated 10 mattresses, medications and conducted free medical check-ups for an Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Gurku, Mararaba in Nasarawa state.

She also conducted skill acquisition training on cake baking and decoration for students of Government Day Secondary School in Bwari, Abuja.

The students in the block of classrooms renovated by Cynthia are now the envy of their other mates.

Their classes are cleaner, spacious, painted, well ventilated and stand out from the other building in the school.

‘’The buildings were bad, but when Corper Cynthia came, she helped us to make it not too bad again,’’ a primary six pupil, Terhide Umula said.

Another primary six pupil, Lilian Emmanuel said: ‘’we thank her for what she has done for us and our prayer is that may God help her.’’

On her part, the headmistress of the school, Mrs Gwani Hannatu described Cynthia as God-sent. She stated that the school had given up on the building because there were no funds forthcoming from the authorities.

She noted that if the likes of Cynthia are scattered all over Nigeria, communities around the nation will benefit from such gesture.

‘’The community is the grassroots, if we can have four of these type of Cynthia, every community will benefit,’’ Mrs Hannatu said.
