Juventus finally agree deal to sign Maurizio Sarri from Chelsea

- Juventus have agreed a deal in principle with Chelsea to sign Maurizio Sarri

- The 60-year-old have been linked with the Serie A champions after Max Allegri left

- Sarri won the Europa League with Chelsea and finished third in the Premier League

Juventus and Chelsea have finally agreed on a deal in landing manager Maurizio Sarri to the Serie A club.

The Italian champions and the Premier League finally reached an agreement on Thursday, June 13, after much talks between senior officials.

And it is understood that the contract will be settled on Friday, June 13, where a compensation fee in excess of £5million has been agreed.

Sarri arrived Stamford Bridge in July, 2018 and led the Blues to a third place finish in the Premier League, including a Europa League triumph in his one season in charge.

The 60-year-old will now become the ninth full-time manager to leave the club under club owner Roman Abramovich.

There has repeated speculation about his position, with Chelsea fans expressing their disapproval at tactics and team selections.

But the former Empoli boss won his first ever trophy in his managerial career following Chelsea's 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League finals. And after the match Sarri said "he deserved" to stay with the club.

Chelsea have been banned for two transfer windows by FIFA following irregularities in signing of young players but the north London club are currently appealing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Juventus players have been hinted that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will be appointed as their new manager.

The Italian gaffer who led the Blues to win the Europa League title against Arsenal is set to walk away from the London club next season.
