The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has ruled in favour of Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in the Osun 2018 governorship election case.
The election tribunal judgment had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke, declaring him winner.
Oyetola, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had filed substantive appeals, seeking the setting aside of the decision of the tribunal.
Adeleke had also filed a cross-appeal, challenging a portion of the decision.

Legit.ng gathered that the lead judgement was read by Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey.
There was also a dissenting judgement from one of the judges on the panel, but majority favoured Oyetola.
Meanwhile, Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola is yet to appoint any commissioner since he assumed office in November 2018.
The state governor is said to have taken the position due to financial difficulties the state is currently experiencing.
