A Katsina based activist, Shehu Dahiru, has charged senator elect for Kastina south senatorial district, Bello Mandiya, to the chief magistrate court Funtua, over an allege false information and forgery
Leadership reports that the activist sought for a criminal summons to be issued against the defendant. According to the application for direct criminal complaint of false information and forgery with case No-CMC/FT/92DC/19,
The complainant in a copy of the application made available to newsmenbin Kaduna averred that during the February 2019 presidential and national assembly election, the defendant contested and Health won the Katsina South (Funtua Zone) Senatorial seat under the platform of APC.

The complainant however alleged that “the defendant in filling form CF001 of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) more particularly at page 3 paragraph D(1) stated that he voluntarily retired from the civil service in the 2001 and no more and the above declaration was made under Oath.
''While it is a notorious act that the defendant is the Chief of Staff at Government House, Katsina. As can be seen from his Pay Slip for the month of February, 2019 which shows that the Defendant contested and won the election while under the employment of Kastina state government.

''It is on this premise that a complaint of false information contrary to the section 140 and the forgery contrary to section 364 all of the penal code is lodged against the Defendant.
''The application was filed by the complainant’s counsels Lawal Amah Esq, Umar Hassan Esq of the Nagari chambers. The case comes up for hearing on the 28th May, 2019 in Funtua.''
Recall that Legit.ng reported that Amiru Tukur Idris, member of the House of Representatives for Bakori/ Danja constituency was on Thursday, April 18, sacked by a Federal High Court sitting in Katsina state.
Justice Hadiza Shagari, in her ruling on the case, said all the seven reliefs sought by the applicant, Engr Yakubu Nuhu Danja, have been granted.
The report quoted the justice as saying the substitution of the plaintiff’s name with that of Amiru Tukur, who is the second defendant in the case, remained null and void.
