It was a deluge of tragedy in Borno as men suspected to be Boko Haram members on Saturday, May 11, attacked the state capital Maiduguri, leaving five people dead and scored severely injured.
Speaking on the tragic incident, Prophet Sunday Solomon, said the insurgents stormed his compound at Njimtilo area of the state capital where they killed and carted away food items and other valuables, ThisDay reports.
Solomon, who claimed to have been slightly hit by the terrorists' bullet, said it was miracle that saved him and his family members who went into hiding upon perceiving the terrorists' heavy gun shot.

He added that the insurgents vanished away after perpetrating their mayhem, but not without stealing mobile phones and food items.
Another witness, Peter Ogoleh, whose flat was not attacked, said one Isaac Dibal and another four people working for Airtel Nigeria in Maiduguri were kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorists.
Bello Dambatta, the head of operations, Borno State Emergency Management Agency (BSEA), said four bodies were deposited at the morgue from the attack, adding that one persons critically injured is presently on admission at the State Specialist Hospital.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that no fewer than 15 Nigerian soldiers were reportedly killed by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in an attack on a military base in Borno state, security sources said on Saturday, May 4.
The insurgents rode into Magumeri local government area at about 6pm on Friday, May 3, and sacked a brigade there.
