Fulani leaders condemns Miyetti Allah’s leader over comment on Tinubu, says he lacks credibility

- Fulani elders have condemned the president of Miyetti Allah Ho*re's president, Alhaji Bello Bodejo, for attacking Asiwaju Tinubu

- The elders forum said Bodejo does not have the merits to speak for the Fulani people and Nigerians

- The Fulani leaders also added that Bodejo has the track record of duping the poor and has lost the confidence of the people

Fulani elders have disassociated themselves from Miyetti Allah Ho*re’s president, Alhaji Bello Bodejo, for attacking the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over 2023 presidency on Sunday, April 28.

In a statement on same Sunday, the Concerned Fulani Leaders Forum, who was led by Muhammd Musa Bawa in Bauchi state said Bodejo’s condemnation of Tinubu was a move to serve some dubious interest, The Nation reports.

The forum said the Miyetti Allah’s president lacks the value to speak for the Fulani and condemned him for speaking for Nigerians at large.

They said that Bodejo does not have the power to determine for Nigerians the leader who would lead them.

A part of the statement reads: "We note with dismay a publication in The Sun Newspaper of Saturday, April 27, and attributed to Alhaji Bello Bodejo, the self-acclaimed President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Ho*re, an association mischievously conceived to serve some dubious interests. In the publication, Bodejo was quoted as casting aspersions on the person of APC National Leader, Asiwaju Tinubu.

“Bodejo’s statement is unfortunate and repulsive in all ramifications. For one, he lacks the mandate and credibility to speak on behalf of the Fulani. He has lost the confidence of our people because of his criminal activities, which are well known to us.

“Bello Bodejo …has made a career out of duping poor members of his Fulani community… Such a person cannot be taken seriously or be highly regarded as to speak for others.

“Bodejo stands for everything unethical. His questionable antecedents speak volumes about him and his ways. When he realised he cannot actualise his nefarious activities under any decent association, he resorted to desperate moves, contacting prominent politicians, soliciting patronage and claiming to be a leader of the Fulani under Kautal Ho*re, a handbag association where he is law unto himself…

“This is unfortunate, myopic and in bad taste. We must, however, make it clear that it is Asiwaju’s inalienable right to vie for the highest office in the land or not. We call on Asiwaju Tinubu to exercise this fundamental right as he deems fit.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a former chairman of Lagos chapter of APC, Chief Henry Ajomale, vowed that no group can stop the presidential ambition of the APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2023.

The APC chieftain also condemned Bodejo for playing God and saying power will stay in north beyond President Buhari's tenure.
