Nigeria's Golden Eaglets suffered a 2-1 defeat to Angola in the third place match on Saturday, April 27, to finish fourth at the U-17 Nations Cup ongoing in Tanzania.

Just four minutes into the second half, Angola took the lead from a fine counter attacking football. Dangerous winger Zito was played through on goal before unleashing a powerful strike to beat Sunday Stephen in goal for Nigeria.

The red card means Porfirio will miss Angola's first game at the World Cup.

However, the 10-man team were able to hold on to claim a famous victory against Nigeria and pick up the bronze medal at the tournament for the first time.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets failed to progress to the final of the ongoing U-17 Africa Cup of Nations final after suffering a 9-10 defeat on penalties in the first semi-final tie on Wednesday, April 24, in Tanzania.
