Editor's note: This is for the spectator. The one who watches with keen interest the way in which envy, impatience, hypocrisy and mediocrity rules the world of social media.
Who would have ever thought that an intelligent invention will bring forth the gradual demise of humanity? In attempt to connect with more humans around the globe, we disconnect from reality, transitioning into virtual monsters; barking and biting at every foreign body whose opinions do not sit well with our egos - welcome to the generation of trolls.
Shielded with a screen, armed with letters of a keyboard and aided with a loose mind, these soldiers are on a battlefield and ever ready to attack and slay a perceived enemy.
Talk about an army with no commander; trends set their war path and conquer they must because tomorrow beckons another war in which they must again defeat.

One might ask how did we awaken these fleet of headless soldiers who guard the gates and patrol the streets of the social media world? There is no single answer. Maybe it is society's nemesis for searching for love in a virtual universe or just maybe for daring to test the extent to which humans will self-express. In essence, we created anarchy.
Anarchy that has sent some into social media isolation, so powerful that humans now begin to doubt their abilities to function as befitting members of the society. In search of love, we flamed hate. In finding connection, we erupted an explosion.
How can we blame anyone else? With the hunger to gain knowledge and stay informed we birthed the committee of bloggers who sell slots for short-time fame to those who are bold enough to be scandalous, controversial and uncouth just to make the news. It is almost like trending is the new currency and everyone wants a piece of it.
In exchange, they put aside their humanity and pierce every heart necessary just to go viral. We created social media monsters and now cannot tame the demons that lurk around the streets of the internet.
However, there are glory days and for which one must laud. In such days, the social media soldiers pick up their arsenals and in one accord fight for justice for the oppressed and deliver victory to the humiliated. These days are when they have to fight a greater evil and for a few moments they battle for the survival of their own but when no real war is to be fought, they face their missiles at each other and tear down their own cities.
Legion of monsters waiting for the next victim to destroy. They are an army with no commander and if anyone be in search of a vacant throne, the kingdom of social media reigns without a king and your headless subjects await.
