Saudi Arabia Crown Prince wants to buy top Premier League club for £3.8bn

Mohammad Bin Salman who is the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is reportedly stepping up £3.8bn bid to take over Premier League club Manchester United from the Glazers' family.

Although the American owners of the Old Trafford club have not indicated their interest to sell Manchester United, but Salman wants to tempt them with a bid that will be difficult to reject.

The Glazers' family bought Manchester United 14 years ago at the sum of £790 million, and they are now on the verge of making an astronomical £2.2 billion profit if they agree to sell.

Mohammad Bin Salman is a 33-year-old Prince who is among the richest men in the world and his family is also said to be worth £850 billion.

Salman reportedly wants to buy Manchester United to take on Man City, who are owned by Sheikh Mansour of the Abu Dhabi royal family.

But according to the report by UK Sun, the royal prince of Saudi Arabia wants Manchester United to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Manchester United are currently occupying fourth position this season under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and there is possibility for them to finish among the top four.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Manchester United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjær as their new manager until the end of the ongoing 2018/19 Premier League season.

The 45-year-old Norwegian football manager replaces former manager Jose Mourinho who was thrown out of the club because of poor results.

He will be joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, together with Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna this season at Old Trafford.
