- Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala seals short term loan deal with Barcelona
- The former Arsenal and Loverpool forward went through medicals at the club earlier today
- The 24-year-old will wear jersey number 20 for the Catalans as she hopes to help them win titles during her stay
Barcelona have completed the signing of Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala on a short term loan deal from Dalian Quanjian until the end of the ongoing season.
The three-time African women footballer of the year underwent medicals at the club earlier today before finally putting pen to paper with the Catalans.
While reacting to the dream move, Oshoala said that Barca are unarguable one of the best football clubs in the world, adding that she will be playing with some of the best players in the world.

The 24-year-old joined her Chinese Women Super League side in 2017 and has been impressive for them - helping them to win the league title in her first season.
“This is obviously one of the best clubs in the world. The team has a great history and wonderful football mentality," Oshoala told Barcelona website.
“I am excited about playing with Vicky Losada again. She’s a great midfielder, with a lot of energy and skill. I also met Fabiana in China and she helped me to make this decision.

The forward added that she joined the club to help them win more trophies: “My goal is to strengthen the team and help them to win and make history. This is a fantastic opportunity because I’m sure something big will happen here."
Oshoala has been named African Footballer of the Year on three occasions (2017, 2016 & 2014) and won the Golden Boot and Golden Ball at the U20 World Cup in 2014.

She was top goalscorer in the Chinese Super League in 2017. She is quick and powerful and has previous experience in European football at Arsenal (2016) and Liverpool (2015).
Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has been nominated for the CAF Women's Player of the Year award.
The winner of the 2016 and 2017 edition was nominated alongside three other Nigerian players including Francisca Ordega, Desire Oparanozie and Onome Ebi.
Current top scorer at the ongoing AWCON tournament in Ghana, Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana is also in the running for the award.
However, she lost to South African sensation, and eventual winner Kgatlana.
