Real Madrid have qualified for the semifinal of the 2019 Copa del Rey after beating Girona 3-1 in the second leg of their quarterfinal encounter on Thursday night, January 31.
Los Blancos had already given themselves a superb chance to reach the last four of the championship after beating Girona 4-2 in the first leg at the Bernabeu.
They however completed the task on Thursday night winning away from home with Frenchman Karim Benzema scoring a brace for the Galácticos.

Real Madrid netted their first goal in the 27th minute through Karim Benzema who was wonderfully assisted by Daniel Carvajah.
The France international scored his second goal in the 43rd minute as he gained from a superb pass by Vinicius Junior.
Alex Granell had the chance to reduce the scoreline for Girona before the half time, but his shot was well blocked by Real Madrid goalie Keylor Navas.
Girona eventually got their goal in the 71st minute through Pedro Porro who beat Keylor Navas after receiving excellent pass from Alejandro Pachon.
But their jubilation only lasted for five minutes as Real Madrid scored their third goal in the 76th minute through Marcos Llorente to win the match 3-1 and qualified on 7-3 aggregate.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Spanish giants Real Madrid reportedly reached an agreement to lure Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the ongoing season in Europe.
Eden Hazard currently has a contract with Chelsea which will expire in 2020, and according to Onda Madrid, Los Blancos' chiefs have agreed to sign him in the summer.
The report also added that Chelsea will not allow the Belgium international to leave Stamford Bridge cheaply as they want massive 170m euros.
