Barcelona squad members will wear special jerseys for El Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.
According to a statement from Barcelona, Lionel Messi and Co. will wear shirts that will have the players' names in Chinese alongside the usual characters.

Interestingly, the special gesture is in commemoration of the Chinese New Year, and it is the first time that Blaugrana will have additional characters on the back of their match jersey.
Already, shops within the city, who received supplies of the strip jersey with the players’ names in Chinese have commenced sales.

Meanwhile, a special video from Barcelona featuring the quartet of Messi, Gerard Pique, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Samuel Umtiti congratulating the Chinese on their day, is also included in the pack.
Barcelona are expected to tour China and Japan for pre-season at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

The La Liga giants’ are optimistic the marketing decision will play an important role in increasing the club’s fans base across the Asian continent.
