Nigeria's Super Falcons on Wednesday night, February 27, suffered an embarrassing 4-1 defeat against Austria in their first game at the Cyprus Women's Cup campaign.
Super Falcons played 85th minutes of the encounter with 10 players following the early red card given to goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi after a bad challenge in her area.
But despite being one woman down in the encounter, the Super Falcons who are the reigning African champions managed to finish the first half without conceding a goal.

Three minutes after the restart, Burger broke the deadlock for the Europeans before Billa doubled the lead in the 59th minute.
Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala pulled one back for the Super Falcons in the 65th minute, but two other goals from Laura Feiersinger and Klein condemned Nigeria to a defeat.
Super Falcons of Nigeria will face Slovakia in their second game in Group C on Friday, March 1 in what is expected to be a tough game.
Slovakia were beaten 3-0 in their own first game at this championship.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Barcelona completed the signing of Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala on a short term loan deal from Dalian Quanjian until the end of the ongoing season.
The three-time African women footballer of the year underwent medicals at the club earlier today before finally putting pen to paper with the Catalans.
While reacting to the dream move, Oshoala said that Barca are unarguable one of the best football clubs in the world, adding that she will be playing with some of the best players in the world.
