Yemi Alade comments on viral audio credited to Ameachi, slams corrupt politicians

The Nigerian government is one that leaves many people wondering if there’s hope for the future. It has also become unusual for entertainers to comment on the political affairs of the country unless it favours them.

In the past, music was used as a tool by brave artistes to criticise the government despite the harsh consequences they would face. However it is now common for some entertainers to be used as campaign tools by those seeking political office.

Recently an audio tape has been making the rounds and it is claimed that the recording features Nigeria’s minister of transportation, Rotimi Ameachi, who supposedly criticised Buhari’s government. The audio has since caused a lot of reactions from Nigerians.

Nigerian music star, Yemi Alade, took to her Twitter handle to call out corrupt leaders shortly after the tape went viral.

According to her, Nigerian leaders who believe the country is hopeless should give way for those who still believe in the country.

She further explained that all politicians are the same as she warned them to do the right things because they cannot take their wealth to the grave.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Amaechi dismissed the audio recording where he was alleged to have criticised the president.

When he was asked for his comments on the audio, Amaechi said: “Nothing. I am not aware of any audio recording.”

Further told that the audio was gaining momentum on different online websites, Amaechi asked: “Do I do website?”
