Manchester United star Paul Pogba reveals injury latest as he jets out to Dubai

- Paul Pogba has recovered from the knock he suffered during Manchester United win over Newcastle

- The Frenchman departed Manchester airport on Monday for Dubai to meet other teammates

- Pogba is expected to join United squad members during Tuesday's session in their training base in Dubai

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has recovered from the knock he suffering from as he jetted off to Dubai to team up with the rest of Red Devils squad at their warm-weather training base.

According to a UK Metro report, the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tutored-side headed to United Arab Emirates after Saturday’s FA Cup third round win over Reading, without Pogba and the pair of Fred and Matteo Darmian.

Explaining the Frenchman’s absence, club chiefs blamed an injury Pogba cropped during their win over Newcastle, saying he simply picked up a knock.

“Paul Pogba has not completely recovered from the knock he sustained against Newcastle United and stayed back for treatment.

"But he will join his Manchester United teammates in Dubai soon in preparation for the Tottenham Hotspur game," a statement from Manchester United read in part.

However, Pogba is fit now after recovering from the Jonjo Shelvey’s reckless tackle, and was spotted at the Manchester as he flew out to Dubai

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is expected to join other squad members during Tuesday’s training session.

Reacting about the situation at the Red Devil camp, Solskjaer revealed the players are rearing to go, even as he noted that the real work has just commenced in Dubai.

“It’ll be a time to get some fitness work and work hard with them, so, if any of the players think it’s a holiday, they’re wrong.

“We’re there to stick together, work hard on the physical part of it and, of course, think a little bit ahead to the Tottenham game,” he summed up.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is optimistic Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez will not suffer any setback to his hamstring ahead of Tottenham cracker after limping off during the Red Devils 2-0 win over Reading.

According to UK Metro report citing BT Sport, Sanchez was in top form during the FA Cup third-round tie, and his first start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as two first half goals sealed victory for United.

Spanish star Juan Mata netted the opener from the spot in the 22nd minute and added the second in the closing moments of the first stanza off a Sanchez assist for Romelu Lukaku.
