- Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has made it clear that he is not sure of his future at the club
- The Spaniard added that he is not thinking about a long term stay at the Nou Camp
- Catalans are currently topping the Spanish La Liga standings with 37 points after 17 games
Barcelona gaffer Ernesto Valverde has refused to commit his future to the Spanish giants despite his club topping the La Liga standings this season after 17 games.
The 54-year-old Spaniard was appointed in 2017, and during his first season at the Nou Camp, he steered the Catalans to win the Copa del Rey and the Spanish La Liga title.
This season, Barcelona have been in good form in the Spanish La Liga and they are also in contention for the 2018/19 Champions League title.

But the former Athletic Bilbao boss admitted that he may not stay at the Nou Camp beyond the current League campaign.
"I do not know what I will do next season. In this football, who knows? We all know how things are. I never think long or long term.
"For us, two months are a very long term. If you win a game, everyone is happy and if you lose, everyone is watching you.
"What I want is for everyone to be satisfied with the work. But we are not going to cheat.
"If you do not win the League, everyone looks at the coach because it is marked like that. I try to meet the objectives and, of course, how much we have left, so let's see it,'' Valverde explained according to UK Mirror.
Previously, Legit.ng had reported how Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde stated clearly that the competition between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is over following Cristiano's move to Juventus this summer.
These two superstars were embroiled in a battle for superiority for around nine years in the Spanish La Liga winning many trophies for their clubs.
But after Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Italian champions Juventus, Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde says the battle between Cristiano and Messi is over.
