A Nigerian man has taken to the social media platform to call out the Abuja airport staff for how they treated people in the early hours of Christmas morning.
While many people have gotten into the spirit of kindness and love in the festive season, it appears the staff at the Abuja airport did not get the memo, according to a social media user identified as Rotimi.
According to the Nigerian man who was at the airport, the staff ordered people out of the airport building around 2.20am on Christmas morning, making them sleep outside on cartons turned into makeshift spread.
Condemning the act, he wrote: "I thank God for hustle mentality, I have learned to make the most out of every situation. One thing is clear, Nigeria is an Under Developed Country, how do you have an international airport (Abuja) that closes and pushes people out at 2.20am in the morning (Christmas Morning) . People sleep outside on the floor, images most Nigerians will never see, but I thank God for this experience. We have a lot of work to do. #Nigeria

His post sparked major reactions from several people on the platform. While many condemned the act and called on the right authorities to see into it, some appeared to have given up on Nigeria.
This is coming several weeks after Popular Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan took to social media to release a series of videos to express his displeasure with government officials. The actor shared the videos after he had a terrible experience with officials at the airport.
