- A Nigerian man has taken to social media to recount how he met a graduate of computer science working at a poultry farm
- The young man identified as Ali recently graduated with a First Class despite coming from a poor background
- Ali who is a poultry dresser, revealed that it was through the business he was able to pay for school
Indeed with determination, resilience and perseverance, nothing is impossible. This reflects in the story of a young man identified as Ali Shuaibu Baba who recently graduated with a First Class in computer science.
According to Mohammed Goje who shared the story on Facebook, Baba works with his father as a poultry dresser. Being from a poor background, Baba revealed that the business paid for his school. Despite going through financial difficulties, Baba was able to graduate with a First Class.
Speaking on how he was able to cope with the course, he revealed that he worked extra hard to raise enough money in order to buy a laptop. Being that he knew next to nothing about computers, he was able to purchase the laptop which he used for his studies up until he graduated.

He said: “I don't know anything about computer, because we don't have it in our house but I still applied for the course, in my part 1, it’s all science courses so I have no much challenge to pass them. During our part 1 break, I worked so hard and saved 30,000 Naira, upon resumption a friend of mine who is studying Biology and has a used Tokunbo LAPTOP computer from LAGOS decided to sale the computer to me @ 30,000 Naira”. Ali use the computer to study through the 4 years and graduated with."
Currently waiting to go for the compulsory 1 year NYSC, Baba works with his father at the poultry farm. When he's not working, he spends his nights browsing more information on IT.
