His beloved daddy Olusola Saraki used to be a Senator himself (from 1979 to 1983) and served as a Senate Leader of Nigeria for a while his mum Florence Morenike Saraki made sure that her son got the best education possible.

Bukola Saraki has been the President of the Nigerian Senate since 2015. Being a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he successfully ran for Kwara State governor in 2003 and occupied this position for 8 years, from 2003, and until 2011.
Even though today the politician still represents PDP, he was elected to Senate 7 years ago as PDP-member and re-elected again in 2015 under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
This year, in 2018, he changed his mind and returned to the previous party. The main achievements of Bukola Saraki are the introduction of the Fiscal Responsibility Bill when he was assisting President Olusegun Obasanjo in the 2000s, the number of educational, financial, agricultural and health reforms performed when he was the Governor of Kwara State from 2003 to 2007 and from 2007 to 2011.
As a Senator, he paid much attention to making environmental laws (cleaning up oil spills, paying compensations to areas affected by such problems, etc.) more powerful and useful for local Nigerian communities. The man was awarded the prestigious CON title (Commander of the Order of the Niger) in 2010 and Outstanding Leadership Award in 2017.
