For a start, a little bit of Wilson Oruma biography, so everyone could understand why this man is a great man. He is indeed a legend of Nigerian football. He was born in Warri in 1976. Wilson started his football career in Bendel Insurance football club in 1993, at the age of 17. Also, later that year, he became a real sports star during the U17 Worldcup in Japan. Oruma showed brilliant results and gained an outstanding reputation among football players, having brought the second win for Nigeria from this competition.
In 1994, Wilson Oruma changed his football club to the French club, Lens. He spent two years in this club, and then was transferred to Nancy, but came back to Lens in 1997 again.
It is indeed worth mentioning that in 1996 our birthday man was part of the team that won gold medal at the 1996 Olympics.

Wilson Oruma retired from professional career in 2010. He initiated a national religious purpose that was supposed to strike 36 states in Nigeria. According to his words, this purpose appeared after he met God while reading a book called "Prepare to meet your God!" written by Angelica Zambrano and he purchased fifty thousand copies, which were eventually distributed free to the audience at his outreach meetings.
