Legit.ng gathers that the vice president gave the assurance that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is not relenting on addressing issues of poverty and unemployment in the country.

In reaction to demands by the Seriki Hausawa that government should provide scholarship and employment for wards, Osinbajo stated: “Government is not only cognisant of the challenges, but is doing everything necessary to address the issue.

"The TraderMoni, among other steps taken so far by President Muhammadu Buhari are targeted at quelling those challenges. President Buhari is not somebody that makes promises without fulfilling them.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday, December 22, said his kinsmen, the ethnic Yoruba, are those who will determine if a Yoruba person succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 — that is if Buhari gets a second term.

Osinbajo appealed to ethnic sentiments as he met the Alaafin of Oyo in Ibadan, urging the Yoruba to work for the success of Buhari in 2019.

The vice president argued that it would take a long time for a Yoruba person to get the presidency if Buhari fails to return in 2019.
