- All APC members plotting the removal of the party's national chairman have been warned to drop their plans
- A federal lawmaker said such plots by some governors within the APC will fail
- Danlami Kurfi said those who are antagonizing Oshiomhole are the few selfish political leaders within the party
The deputy chairman of the House of Representatives committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, Danlami Kurfi, has warned against the plot by some governors and party members to oust the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kurfi said Oshiomhole has accommodated all members with his leadership style as the national chairman of the ruling party.
Speaking with journalists on Sunday, November in Abuja, Kurfi who represents Dutsin-ma/Kurfi federal constituency in Katsina state at the National Assembly said that those who are antagonizing Oshiomhole are the few selfish political leaders within the party.
According to the lawmaker, these party aggrieved party members are bent on fielding into elective positions family members, wives, cronies, in-laws and puppets with flagrant disregard to the negative consequences which it could cause the party during the forthcoming 2019 general election.

Kurfi said Oshiomhole will continue to enjoy the support of President Muhammadu Buhari and power brokers in the Presidency.
He also said that a dialogue is still ongoing with those who have registered their grievance over the outcome of the party primaries which was recently concluded.
"Following the clarion call on the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Adams Oshomhole to resign, I can conveniently tell you that such gang up against this honest and progressive party National leader will never work," Kurfi said.
“Let me tell you the Governors in our political party are really not acting like true progressives, they are the problems we are having, especially those from the North. A true leader must not be selfish. You can’t keep bringing paper-weight politicians, those who are green horn in politics, and those who lack electoral values over and above those who are on ground and loved by the grassroots.
''We have seen recently a situation where some governors are fielding their son-in-laws, wives, children, puppets, cronies and so on, some of them didn’t even stand to contest the primaries and those that did, failed woefully, yet their sponsors will still not want to give up, this is a sad reality that our party is witnessing today, it’s very unfortunate.’’

“As one of the stakeholders in APC, I assure all our party faithful across board that hope is not lost yet as the party will come out stronger and deliver President Muhammadu Buhari in the forth coming election.
The President should not also listen to those who have seen the party as a platform to do business and make money at the expense of the majority of our party faithful. We urge the National Chairman to remain steadfast as we assure him that nothing will remove him from that office. So far, he has done well and he will continue to enjoy our support the integrity of his leadership style is commendable.
Without doubt, President Muhammadu Buhari has offered a clean break from the corruption that characterized the PDP government which laid siege to leadership of the nation by enriching themselves against the overall benefit of Nigerians.
The APC administration has come as a long awaited saviour to deliver the nation from poor leadership. President Buhari has broken the grip and jinx of inequality which had closed leadership opportunity against Nigerian youths and women in the previous years.
“President Buhari and Oshiomhole are not the problems of the PDP; rather PDP has made it difficult for good governance to thrive due to their ruthless and wasteful rule in the past years.
All the issues in the vendetta against the Buhari administration were all carry over from the PDP administration that misruled Nigeria since the inception of democracy before President Buhari’s emergency to rescue the nation.
All malicious utterances against the President and APC National Chairman are propagated by those who ought to hide their faces in shame but rather are not hiding their faces but raising their voices in arrogance to demand for another opportunity and right to return the nation to the era of rampage and wasteful spending without respect for God, humanity and morality.
Buhari and Oshiomhole are God sent and they will deliver our party to a landslide victory in 2019 by the grace of God," Kurfi concluded.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Oshiomhole had denied claims that he left Nigeria to visit APC leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London after he was probed by operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS).
Oshiomhole said he doesn't need to leave Nigeria to speak with Tinubu or even President Muhammadu Buhari.
