Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, recently joined the throng of Nigerian celebrities willing and hoping to make a change in the country by taking up a political post within their immediate environment. He took to announcing that he is contesting to be a member of the Federal House of Representatives.

While this news has delighted many Nigerians who think that the popular musician and actor is able to inspire the change needed in Nigeria, some other people have been made to reminisce on the faults he did to them and many other Nigerians due to his recently disclosed intention.

As it appears, the event of Banky W's political aspiration seemed a perfect time for Chidinma to express the singer's faults because her complaint about him is very much related to his intended choice to be voted for.

Hence, at the nick of time, the lady took to her Facebook page to recount how Banky W soured her experience while she was trying to obtain her permanent voter's card (PVC). According to her, on Monday 28th May 2018, she and many other Nigerians were on a long queue waiting to be attended to by the officials in charge of the process.

While she had waited for about an hour, several people claimed to have been on the queue for even more than three hours. Just as they were getting soaked by the hot sun, Banky W came into the centre with other celebrities like his wife Adesua Etomi, Ebuka Obi Uchendu and a few others.

Chidinma was rather upset, not by the arrival of these celebrities, but by the fact that they walked straight into the building where the registration was ongoing without acknowledging anyone or waiting their turn.

Even more, the mini photo session the celebrities engaged in with the officials while she and many other fatigued people looked on made her very angry. Her grievance is indeed best expressed by her. Thus, see her full post below:

One good thing about social media is that a little whimper can be heard from far away. In light of this, Banky W was able to notice and catch on Chidinma's well articulated open letter to him in no time.

Not choosing to look the other way, the celebrity wrote a lengthy post back to her in which he apologised for unnerving her and also explained the reason why the event of that day, May 28, turned out the way it did.

According to the singer, he had not gone to the said centre in Lekki to obtain his PVC as he already had one, he had rather gone there to pass a message to the youths who were reluctant about obtaining their voter's card.

However, due to wrong timing and a less than accurate planning, the whole thing had turned out wrong and gone on to pass a wrong message. In light of this error, Banky W apologised and asked Chidinma and many other Nigerians by extension to give him a chance to prove himself again.

The lady went on to acknowledge his response to her and post it on her page. She thanked him for responding to her and also expressed gratitude to other Nigerians who joined her in the move to make Banky W accountable.

While some people could not help but praise the well expressed intentions and thoughts of both Chidinma and Banky W, some other people said that they couldn't be fooled by the apologetic response of the singer.

To them, his reply was just an attempt to vindicate and further win the affection of the people. See some of the reactions below:
