Neymar's former teammate drop big hint about him joining Barcelona

- Xavi Hernandez thinks Neymar's return to Neymar is impossible

Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has reveal his former teammate Neymar will not rejoin the Spanish club in the future.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has been linked with a return to the Camp Nou in recent times but Xavi thinks otherwise.

The Brazilian star is currently in his second season with Ligue 1 champions after leaving Barca for a world record fee in 2017.

The 27-year-old reportedly met with an advisor to Barca Andre Cury during the international break but the details of their discussions is yet to be known.

But Xavi who won eight La Liga titles and four Champions League titles during his spell with the club does not see such happening.

"I don't see it. I don't see it. I also think it didn't work out well, I don't see it in any way," Xavi told Cadena SER on Thursday.

"I read a lot of press because I'm up to date with everything football, but I see zero chances that Neymar can return to Barcelona."

Neymar has continued to blaze the trail in France and has already scored 13 goals in 16 matches this season for the Parisians.

But Xavi heap praised on the former Santos star's talent and believes he can get to the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"If he is mature and works, he will be close to Cristiano and Messi," he said.

"He can be decisive, but it depends on him."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Brazil captain Neymar could not complete fully in Tuesday’s international friendly game against Cameroon after he was substituted after eight minutes.

According to The Mirror report, the Paris Saint-Germain superstar appeared to have sustained a groin injury, after attempting to place a cross into the opponents’ penalty area.
