My time in prison taught me to appreciate God - Singer Dammy Krane

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane is all about focusing on the positive energies and this may be due to the short period he spent in prison. He recently opened up about the experience and how he's been able to cope with a prison record.

Recall a while ago, Legit.ng reported the news of how the singer was arrested in Canada for crimes pertaining to credit card fraud.

The news made waves on the Nigerian social media platform and even after he was declared innocent and released from prison, the reputation continues to hunt him.

In a recent interview with Showtime, the entertainer opened up about some of the lessons he learnt from his prison experience. According to him, prison life taught him to appreciate God more.

In his words: “I learnt three very important things after that experience; to appreciate God, family and my fans. Meanwhile there are a lot of friends turned family.”

He went on to reveal that even after he was released and he returned to Nigeria, he tried to ignore the negative remarks from family members, colleagues in the industry, friends and fans. Instead, he focused more on the positive comments.

He said: “I have something I always do when it comes to social media; I concentrate more on the positive comments than the negative ones. That someone has taken out his time to write something nice is something to appreciate.”

Recall a while back, it was reported that the singer had his song stolen by Wizkid who drugged him. However, a photo of them together at an event, surfaced on the internet, dispelling the rumour of a possible rift between the two singers.
