3 star Liverpool hammer West Ham United 3-0 at the London Stadium

- Three second half goals from Salah, Firmino and Alexander-Arnold were all Liverpool needed to keep their unbeaten run intact

- The Reds cruised to 3-0 win over their hosts Watford at the Vicarage Stadium

- They stretch their unbeaten run to 13 games in the EPL as they continue to mount pressure on Man City as regards the leadership of the log

Liverpool stretch their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 13 games following their impressive victory over Watford at the Vicarage Road.

The Hornets gave a good account of themselves in the first half after forcing the Reds to a barren draw.

They were however unable to maintain the momentum soon after the second half resumes as Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock in the 67th minute.

His goal boosted the confidence of his side soon after recording their first as Trent Alexander-Arnold made it two goals in the 76th minute.

Brazil forward Roberto Firmino completed the 3-0 routing with just one more minute left to play in the normal regulation period as they rose to the second position on the log with 33 points.

Liverpool are closely mounting pressure on current table toppers Manchester City who have 35 points from 13 EPL matches.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp's men face a tough task of reaching the Champions League knockout stage as they face Paris Saint Germain in their next game.

They are second on Group C table with six points from two matches while PSG have five points from the same number of games.

The outcome on next week's encounter goes a long way in determining who makes it out of the group and which of them relegates to Europa League.

Legit.ng recalls that Red Star Belgrade hammered Liverpool 2-0 in their UEFA Champions League encounter at Rajko Mitic Stadium in Serbia.

Milan Pavkov netted both goals that gave the whipping boys of their group maximum victory in the meeting and postpone the Reds qualification to the next round.
