In their route to the final, the Eaglets defeated their counterpart from Ivory Coast and hosts nation, Niger Republic in their last two fixtures before Saturday’s evening’s victory
After a barren first half, Ghana Black starlets opened the scoring in the 54th minute after much pressure on Nigeria;s defence line.
However, Eaglets forward Akinkunmi Amoo leveled scores for Nigeria 13 minutes after Ghana took the lead.
After both sides failed to net the much-need winner, in the remaining minutes, the encounter was decided by the dreaded penalty kick.
At the end of the of the shoot-out, Amoo who netted during the game, failed to score his spot kick but Ishaya, Tijani and Ibrahim all netted for Nigeria as Ghana's Issaaku also from the spot while Eaglets goalkeeper, John Amah stop Agyapong spot-kick to seal victory for Nigeria.
The Golden Eaglets are expected to fly Nigeria’s flag during the 2019 U-17 African Cup of Nations tournament scheduled to hold in Tanzania.

Interestingly, Nigeria's Golden Eaglets have won six out of the eight matches with Ghana's Black Starlets winning just two of the eight clashes.
