The hall of residence of female medical students in University of Lagos is said to be on fire.
This has left many of the female students living in the hostel in panic, many of who are seeing running helter-skelter.
Many female students in adjoining the burning hostel were seen shouting telling others to go and carry their belongings.

A lot of reasons have been given for the cause of the fire but as at the time of reporting, the source is yet to be known. The topmost floor of of the building is the most affected as fire was blazing.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that Professor Awonusi Olusegun who was recently accused of molesting a student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has finally shared his own version of the story.
Aside from being a professor of English Studies in the school, Olusegun was a former vice-chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun state. In an interview with New Telegraph, Olusegun disclosed that he did not partake in a shameful act but revealed that his mobile was stolen. He described the incident as a cheap blackmail.

He said: “It is blackmail. The said pictures were taken about four years ago but sometimes ago, I received a message from a particular lady, saying she was in possession of my unclad photos and that I should pay her N400,000. The lady said if I did not pay the money, she would go public with the photos. I think this is what she had promised.”
