Premier League giants Manchester United have been presented an opportunity to seal a move for Bayern Munich top defender Jerome Boateng.
According to the Daily Star report citing sources at Daily Mail, revealed that the German side are reportedly eager to offload the defender for a fee of £50m.
Red Devils Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is hunting for a central defender in the ongoing summer transfers but without success so far.

At the moment, Boateng with 73 caps and Champions League winners' medal, if the move sees the light of the day he would heading to Old Trafford with a wealth of experience.
Although the 29-year-old alongside Mats Hummels struggled at the summer World Cup as Germany failed to make the knocked out in the group stage.
At the moment Boateng saw a potential switch Paris St-Germain hit the rocks this week, it's still unclear if Bayern want the centre-back off their squad this summer payroll.
The Daily Mail report suggests that Bayern have offered Boateng the chance to return to the Premier League where he previously played with Manchester City in 2010/11 campaign.
On the other hand, the Red Devils held discussions with Barcelona for their Colombian defender Yerry Mina but are reportedly looking at other options.
Tottenham’s defender Toby Alderweireld is still on Mourinho's wish list and a late switch cannot be ruled out.

However, German newspaper Bild, suggests the Old Trafford side are looking to send the Frenchman to Bayern in a swap deal for Boateng.
However, Bayern chiefs have other ideas as they want Manchester United to cough out £50m cash for the ex-Hamburg star but are not willing to sign Martial at this point.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Bayern Munich are close to losing Chile international Arturo Vidal to Spanish champions Barcelona.
The 31-year-old is reported to have agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants after being told he could leave Bayern Munich according to the report by UK Sun.
Although Barcelona and Bayern Munich have not confirmed the latest development but it is believed that Arturo Vidal will move to the Nou Camp for around £27 million.
And should these two clubs later confirm the deal, then it means Chelsea and Manchester United will have to look elsewhere to get another midfielder.
Vidal has since last season emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United and Chelsea.
