Reports have emerged that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and police have reportedly barricaded the Apo residence of the deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu.
An aide to Ekweremandu, confirmed to Daily Sun that the senator might arrested and detained by the security agencies.
The reported siege to Ekweremadu's residence was also alleged by the the spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, in a tweet on Tuesday morning, July 24.
The Senate may not hold its plenary today, Tuesday, July 24, if Ekweremadu is detained since the deputy senate president was expected to preside over plenary in the absence of Bukola Saraki.
