They say it's the little things in a relationship that makes it stand the test of time. British-Nigerian singer, Ben Ofoedu recently shared the successful tip that has kept his marriage to 56-year-old presenter, Vanessa Feltz for 12 years and still holding it on.
Speaking on British panel show titled Loose women, the former lead singer of the duo Phats & Small revealed that he has never seen his wife without make-up and has been one thing that has apparently helped their marriage work for over a decade.
When questioned about the possibility, he revealed that they sleep in separate bedrooms and she always steps out with make-up on. Although he didn't realize until recently when they both went swimming and she showed up in the pool with bright red lipstick.

The 45-year-old boldly proclaimed that he wouldn't recognise his wife with no make-up on as he has always seen her with a made-up face..He said: "I wouldn’t know who she was without makeup."
Regardless of the odds, the lovers have managed to stay together for a solid 12 years and look capable of going many more years as their fondness for each other is adorable.
On Vanessa's part, a bad make-up day with smudged eyeliner is much better than a completely make-up free face. To defend her bougie lifestyle, the presenter described her husband as a sensitive soul who she beliver might get a shock if he ever saw her with no make-up.
She said: “I think he’s a sensitive soul; he’s quite young and I think he’d have a shock.”

The 56-year-old also revealed she listened to her mother who told her to keep up the mystique of her appearance.
Ofoedu looked unbothered when he revealed it has kept things working between them. He said: "It has kept it fresh and s3xy in a mysterious kind of way. Twelve years later it still works.”
Interestingly, Ben Ofoedu was born in Nigeria but clearly thinks differently than a lot of Nigerian men. The singer moved to the UK when he was 2 years of age with his family and has lived in the country ever since.
His music career kicked off in 1993 and in 1999, he became the lead singer of duo Phats & Small.
