Real Madrid star 'tells' the club he wants to leave for a permanent move to Bayern Munich

- James Rodriguez has admitted he wants to stay at German club Bayern Munich

- He is currently playing for the club on loan from Spanish side Real Madrid

- Rodriguez helped Bayern qualify for the Champions League semi final before they lost to Los Blancos

Colombia international football star James Rodriguez has stated clearly that he is happy at German club Bayern Munich and wants to stay at the club on a permanent basis.

Last year July, the 26-year-old joined Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal, and he has been impressive for the club this season.

James Rodriguez has scored seven goals and produced 11 assists during his first season in the Bundesliga.

He has however declared his intention to stay at Bayern Munich who are 24 points clear at the top of the League going into their final game.

''I am doing very well because it's a good League here in Germany and the stadiums are full. I came here with a different perception.

"I'm fine, I hope I stay here. I feel very good." James Rodriguez was quoted to have said by UK Sun.

Meanwhile, last month, it was reported that Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed they have the option to sign James permanently for £37 million.

James became well known in Europe during his time at Porto winning several trophies and individual awards during his three years at the club.

In 2014, he moved from AS Monaco to Real Madrid for a transfer fee of £63 million which beat the one set by Radamel Falcao and made him the most expensive Colombian football player.

James Rodriguez played in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where he won the Golden Boot as the top goalscorer and was part of the Cup's All Star Team.

He also represented his nation at the 2015 Copa América and the Copa América Centenario in 2016 winning a third-place medal in the latter tournament.
