Philanthropist Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo sponsors 3rd annual Eko Ramadan football competition (photos)

As part of the effort to promote youthful coexistence and healthy grassroots sporting activities, Prince Kazeem Austin Eletu-Odibo, Chairman/CEO Kazeem Royal Properties Ltd, took up the task of sponsoring the 3rd Eko Annual Ramadan Football Competition.

The tourney, financed by Kazeem Royal Empowerment Programme, saw skillful and talented legs slugging it out among themselves for weeks.

The competition ended in grand style on Sunday, July 2nd, 2017 at the Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos. Thirty-two teams featured in the tourney.

The semi- finals were a show of clash of the titans among Link FC versus Legend FC and Oloro Boutique FC versus Amsterdam FC.

At the finals, Link FC of Ajah defeated Oloro Boutique FC and gallantly snatched the trophy with a 1-0 victory.

Speaking at the end of the whole event, the coordinator of Eko Youth Sports Association (EYSA), Lateef Ojora, popularly known as Shevchenko, said the purpose of the tourney was achieved as the competition exposed talents, level of unity among the youth and the need for well-to-do Nigerians to always support youthful programmes as such like Prince Kazeem has done.

According to him: “A total of 32 teams featured in this year edition and it was sponsored by Kazeem Royal Empowerment Program. The primary notion behind the tournament is to provide a platform for sustainable future engagement for our youths and also bring an enabling environment for the promotion of healthy sporting rivalry among our youths. We can also say, it’s a platform for entertainment and recreation for the populace.”

Speaking, the chief host and sponsor for this year’s edition, Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo who is an ECOWAS Senior Youth Ambassador and a lover of soccer, thanked all participants and restated his commitment to always support the youth.
