Yemi Osinbajo, acting president will on Tuesday, June 13, sign the 2017 budget into law.
According to a source, the signing of the budget was first scheduled for today, Monday, June 12, after it was extended to tomorrow because Osinbajo was said to be engaged in other functions.
The dignitaries who are expected to be present at the venue where the budget will be signed by the acting president are stakeholders, the National Assembly and chairmen of committees like appropriation, finance, legislative budget and research, and many more.

Daily Trust reports that the venue for the event is Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja and the time is 3 pm.
“All grey areas have been sorted and the budget is ready for signing into law any time soon,” Timothy Golu, a member of the House of Representatives, who chairs committee on legislative budget and research said.

NAIJ.com gathered that the sum of N20bn was added to the budget by the lawmakers for the second runway at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari had proposed the budget valued N7.298 trillion to N7.441trillion.
The sum of N2.174 trillion was for contribution to the Development Fund for capital expenditure; N434.412bn for Statutory Transfers; N1.841 trillion for debt service; N177.460bn for Sinking Fund for maturing bonds, while the sum of N2.990 trillion is for recurrent (non-debt) expenditure.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that Speaker of the National House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara had announced that the controversial 2017 national budget would be signed into law next week.
Dogara who made this statement during an event to mark the 2nd year anniversary of the 8th House, said that: “We kept our promise to Nigerians at the beginning of the legislative session to ensure transparent deliberation and passage of the 2017 Appropriations Bill which will be signed into law early next week.
On various committees of the House, he said that “we need to do a better job of coordinating the activities of various Committees to ensure synergy and avoid overlapping of activities and functions”.
