There is an ongoing jubilation in Ilorin, Kwara state capital city over the Wednesday, June 14, judgement by the Code of Conduct Tribunal on the trial of the Senate President Bukola Saraki.
Premium Times reports that some supporters of the Senate President trooped out in hundreds to celebrate his victory at the tribunal.
The supporters who sang various songs of victory danced around the Kwara state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

NAIJ.com gathered that some of the protesters also wore crested T-shirts while flooding the streets of Ilorin.
Speaking on the acquittal of Saraki, the APC chairman for Kwara state Isola Balogun-Fulani said, a section of the party knew that the Senate President's trial was politically motivated.
Balogun-Fulani said the acquittal of Saraki is also an indication that the country's judiciary is still the last hope of every common man.
He said: "We thank everybody and well-meaning Nigerians who had supported us from the first time this thing started up to the end of this case. We are very happy and that is why you see us rejoicing.”

“From there, we will move to the Governor of Kwara State to thank him for his support from the onset up to the end of this time and to also pray for him that with him in the helm of affairs, Kwara State is progressing and we hope that Insha Allah with the end of this case, Kwara State will continue to progress,” Balogun-Fulani said.
The state's party chairman also said that with the CCT judgement and the end of his trial, Saraki will definitely serve Nigerians better as a Senate President.
Also speaking, the APC women leader in the state Sarat Adebayo commended President Muhammadu Buhari on the recent judgement.

Adebayo said the party and the people of Kwara appreciates the president for standing for justice.
She said: "The judgement is a welcome development to Kwarans as a whole. We appreciate everyone that stood by us when the case lasted.”
NAIJ.com had reported that the chairman of the CCT Danladi Umar on Wednesday, June 14, discharged and acquitted Saraki of all charges of false declaration of assets against him.
Umar in his judgement said the prosecution failed to establish its case against the Senate President.
