Senate President Bukola Saraki has picked a fight with online news platform Sahara Reporters on social media.
The fight began on Monday, April 10 after Sahara Reporters tweeted some news report about the former Kwara state governor's trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
It tweeted:
Saraki tweeted back at the news platform, accusing it of always reporting falsehood.

Never one to back down from a fight, Sahara Reporters fired back:
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com gathered that Saraki has said that the federal government’s case against him before the Code of Conduct Tribunal is weak and that he would not negotiate the case with the executive through political means.
Saraki said this in an interview with Daily Trust. According to him, his loyalists were not happy about the trial.
Saraki was arraigned by the federal government before the CCT in 2015 over alleged false asset declaration and other corruption allegations.
