BREAKING: Herdsmen invade Soyinka’s home

The residence of renowned playwright and Professor Wole Soyinka, in Ogun state, has been invaded by suspected herdsmen.

According to The Cable, the scholar disclosed this during a press conference at Freedom Park in Lagos on Friday, April 28.

"My home is under invasion… From Imeko to Abeokuta is under invasion by herdsmen,” he said.

“The trespasses have been frequent and reported but government is taking security lightly,” Soyinka noted.

The Nobel Laureate who said the mentality of herdsmen had changed, advised government to use drone in tracking them.

This is not the first time Soyinka would be complaining of herdsmen activities, in April 2016, Soyinka had raised the alarm over the invasion of his residence at a time when he was abroad.
