There’s a reward for every good deeds - Man says as he returns N4.5m mistakenly sent to his account

- A Nigerian music producer has taken to social media to recount how he sent back some money mistakenly sent to him

- Identified as Austynobeatz on social media, he revealed he got a whooping sum of N4.5m from an unknown person

- He stated that it wasn't an easy decision but he stuck to it despite the advice of his friends to keep it

It is no hidden fact that Nigeria is home to a huge and growing number of fraudsters, a reputation which continues to destroy the chances of many honest citizens. Despite all of these, there are still people who continue to prove that honest and well-meaning Nigerians still exists.

One of such is a man identified on Instagram as Austynobeatz, who took to the platform to recount how the sum of N4.5m was mistakenly sent into his account by an unknown person. According to his post, he sent the money back even though it was a difficult decision considering his friends advised him not to.

He wrote: "So apparently someone I didn’t know sent me 4.5million by mistake to my access account and I returned it back , At first I was wondering which of my clients would have sent money for a project without telling me, not until I got a notification, hmm this money doesn’t belong to me.

Spoke to some friends majority said “ Guy God don send you natural wire transfer no dull your self “. That sounded exciting at this time of the year 4.5m . To cut the story short I returned the money back, I don’t even know if It was a test from God , All I know is there’s a reward for every good deeds. Sooner or Later I’ll find out. But I no go lie that money for sweet my belle if one of my partners had sent it to me "

Austynobeatz, who has produced songs for the likes of music stars, Ice Prince and Ycee, isn't the only one who has been faced with such a temptation and yet, stuck to doing the right thing.

A while back, Legit.ng reported the news of how a man identified as Ayo Emmanuel on Instagram, revealed he mistakenly got credited with the sum of N767k from an unknown person.

While many people would have kept the money for themselves, Emmanuel revealed on his Instastory that he sent the money back 'as a good Nigerian'.
