Legit.ng gathers that the PDP said it was not good for the governor not to have revealed details of his assets declared before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) as required by the constitution.
The opposition party urged Sanwo-Olu to shun “personal enrichment” and called on him to show the commitment of his government to transparency.
The PDP urged the governor to avoid wasteful spending at this period in which residents are yearning for abandoned projects across the state to be completed.
The party threatened to invoke the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act to demand for Sanwo-Olu’s assets after seven days and urged the governor to show moral responsibility by making his assets public.
In response to a recent statement credited to Sanwo-Olu that he was already losing weight since becoming governor, the PDP urged him to consult his doctor to ascertain the real reason for “losing weight”.
The PDP urged Sanwo-Olu to “follow the humble, humanitarian and servant postures of his fellow governors of Oyo and Zamfara states; both of whom have donated all their salaries to their pensioners and orphanages”.
The party added: “It is only when and if Mr Sanwoolu manifests such selfless and austere gestures as a lifestyle that Lagosians can take him serious and sympathize with him as he claims to be losing weight.”
