Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari, has promised that banditry, terrorism and kidnapping activities across the country would be neutralised by his administration.

Expressing deep shock while mourning the death of scores of people in the banditry attacks on Saturday, June 8, in three communities in Rabah local government area of Sokoto state, President Buhari condoled with Governor Aminu Tambuwal and the people of the state over the tragic incident.
A statement signed by the president's senior special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu in Abuja on Sunday, June 9, said President Buhari was briefed about the incident and the arrests so far made by the Police.
The statement said the president also condemned all acts of violence and terrorism against innocent Nigerians.
He also warned that perpetrators and sponsors of such acts would be held accountable under the law.
“The President prays for the quick recovery of all those injured and assures that his administration will not relent in the fight to neutralise terrorists, bandits and kidnappers around the country,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that President Buhari on Saturday, April 6, said that no state in Nigeria is currently under the control and influence of Boko Haram insurgent group.

President Buhari said that his administration is doing everything possible to conquer the war against terrorism in Nigeria, adding that the military has recaptured all territories held by Boko Haram in 2014 and also freed thousands of Nigerians held against their will by the insurgent group.
While addressing the world economic forum in Jordan, Buhari said that the world has changed and asked every nation to be collaborative.
