Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has been voted player of the match after Nigeria’s 2-0 win over South Korea in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
The nine-time African champions returned to winning ways after a precious victory over Asian giants South Korea on Wednesday, June 12 at the Stade des Alpes, Grenoble.
Oshoala netted Nigeria’s second goal in the second half of the match and was awarded the game’s best player.

Reacting moments after the game, the Barcelona forward, who showed class during the encounter explained the team's match-day secret.
“Of course we have more confidence after scoring the first goal. And we tried to tell ourselves we needed to give more because one goal was not enough to decide the game…then I got the second goal,” Oshoala noted, even as the importance of World Cup important to women’s football .
“This is the best and highest level of football where other best players of each country show themselves and compete with other players around the world.

“And also this is a competition that brings great women in football together,” the Falcons forward was quoted as saying on FIFA TV.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Nigeria's Super Falcons bounced back to winning ways at the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup in France following their 2-0 win over Korea Republic.
Coach Thomas Dennerby kicked off their campaign with a heavy defeat owing to their 3-0 defeat to Norway.
The African champions however brightened their chances of narrowly making it through to the next stage their their first victory at the tournament.
