Arsenal agree deal with Saint-Etienne superstar over a big move to England

- William Saliba who plays for Saint-Etienne has been linked with a move to Arsenal

- The Gunners are said to have reached an agreement with the player over the move

- Arsenal will now have to make official offer to his club for the possibility of signing him

Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly agreed deal with Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba over a possible move to the Emirates stadium this summer.

The Gunners are said to be interested in offering the player a five-year contract and also block him from joining Manchester City.

And according to the report on UK Sun citing Foot Mercato, Arsenal are said to have agreed terms with the French defender and his signing could be announced soon.

The report added that the Gunners need to agree a fee with the Ligue 1 side, but they know that the defender has no shortage of admirers.

Saliba has been identified as a potential replacement for Laurent Koscielny who is set to make a move away from the Emirates stadium this summer.

But Arsenal will have to offer Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne around £25 million for them to have the chance of luring him to North London.

Last season, Arsenal failed to finish among the top four in the Premier League and club's boss Unai Emery is trying to bolster his squad for next term.

Saliba began playing football at the age of 6 and was coached by the father of Kylian Mbappe He moved to Saint-Étienne in 2016 before signing his first contract at the age of 17.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil indicated his desire to stay at the club insisting he is happy at North London despite being repeatedly linked with a move from the Emirates.

The German has endured a difficult campaign with the Gunners this season, with Arsenal boss, Unai Emery often dropping him to the bench.
