Barcelona bounced back to winning ways in the Spanish League following their 2-0 win over Getafe at the Camp Nou.

The Catalans were humiliated out of the UEFA Champions League at Anfield earlier this month having suffered a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool - despite taking a three goal advantage from the first leg.

However, they seem to have moved on from the disappointment as they brush their visitors aside in their last home game in the league this season.

Chilean forward Arturo Vidal opened scoring for the home team six minutes before half time after tapping into the net from a poor save from David Soria.

Their efforts to double their lead before the end of the first half were unfruitful as the away team maintain a level of discipline at the back line.

Having observed the 15 minutes break, both sides resumed action in a battle for supremacy at the Camp Nou.

The home team continued to mount pressure on their visitors on returning to the pitch for the remainder of the game.

And in the 89th minute, Djene Dakonam scored an own goal that helped the home team sealed with win and increase their points to 86 with just one match to end the La Liga season.

Legit.ng earlier reported that two goals each from Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum saw Liverpool outclass Barcelona in their Champions League clash.

The Reds reach their second straight UCL final after beating the Spanish League side 4-3 on aggregate.

This comes barely one week after the Catalans subjected Jurgen Klopp's side to 3-0 defeat at the Camp Nou.
