Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is reportedly set to hold a crisis meeting with his squad on Monday, May 13, to discuss the club's disappointing end of season form.

United suffered a 2-0 defeat against already relegated Cardiff City in their last Premier League match played at Old Trafford on Sunday, May 12, to finish sixth on the standings.

A couple of weeks back, the Red Devils had slim chances of qualifying for Champions League, but went on to register a string of poor results that saw them finish outside the top four.

According to a UK Metro report, the club has traditionally given squad members permission to begin their summer holidays immediately after the final match of the season.

However, Solskjaer resolved to hold them back for a full debrief to understand what needs to be done next season to ensure the club is able to challenge for titles again.

The Norwegian tactician and his players will reportedly hold the meeting at the club's training base before speaking to them as a group.

Solskjaer is further understood to be planning a meeting with three or four players individually ahead of what promises to be a chaotic first summer in charge of the Red Devils.
