Nigerian youth promised scholarship rescued after live-streaming how he took poison over low JAMB score

In what could be described as an unfortunate incident, a young Nigerian man has attempted to take his own life over his low test score in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The young man identified as Segun, has set social media abuzz after recording a live stream session on micro blogging platform, Twitter.

Prior to his course of action, he had previously shared his travails with members of the online community in which he disclosed that he had written the UTME exam in 2015, 2016 and 2017. However, in all three years, even after managing to score high, lack of funds could not allow him pursue his academic dreams.

His outcry had drawn the attention of popular social media influencer, The Pamilerin, who offered to put him on scholarship to further his education.
