Nigeria's Super Falcons on Saturday, May 11, recorded their biggest victory ever in a match when they defeated Niger Republic 1-0 in a WAFU tournament going on in Ivory Coast.
Eight teams are currently participating in the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup tournament in Abidjan.
Super Falcons of Nigeria had won their opening group game against Mali 10-0 meaning that they have shipped in 25 goals in just two games.
The remarkable win over over Niger Republic has now sent the Super Falcons to the semifinal of the WAFU championship with a game remaining to play in Group B.

Falcons will face Mali on Tuesday evening, May 14, in their last Group match before playing in the semifinal.
They are actually using this championship to prepare for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup which is scheduled to hold in France.
Nigeria will will file out against Norway in Reims on June 8, take on Korea Republic in Grenoble on June 12 and tackle with host nation France in Rennes on June 17.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigeria’s Courtney Dike netted a hat-trick as Super Falcons hammered Icelandic first division campaigners, UMF Selfoss, 6-1 in an international friendly on Friday, April 5, at Pinatar Arena in Spain.
The encounter saw the nine-time African champions’ fall behind after Reimus Magda scored the opening goal for UMF Selfoss in the 31st minute.
