The commissioner for information in Lagos state, Kehinde Bamigbtan, narrowly escaped death on Sunday, May 12, following an accident that destroyed his car. His driver survived the incident too.
Bamigbetan, a former local government chairman appointed by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode into his cabinet, however, sustained injuries.
Narrating how the accident occurred, Bamigbetan said he was returning from his farm when the driver ran into an armoured personnel carrier.

He said the impact of the accident flung him from the back seat to the windscreen.
According to Bamigbetan, the accident occurred because the driver of his car dozed off while the vehicle was in motion.

Thanking God, the commissioner said: “His mercy endures forever. The driver drove into an armoured carrier on our way from the farm.
“I was taking a nap in the rear seat. The impact flung me at the windscreen. He dozed off on speed. But our Creator was in charge.
“He saved us from the calamity. To God be the glory.”
