Two officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Osun state have been kidnapped by a gang of armed bandits on Monday, May 20.
According to Vanguard, the victims were abducted along the Akure-Ilesa express road, in the Erin-Ijesa area of the state.
The FRSC officials identified as Baiyeguni and Abioye were said to be traveling on the road when the incident took place.

The sad development was reported to the police in the area by the families of the victims when they were unable to contact them.
Moreover, Folashade Odoro, the spokesperson of the police command in the state confirmed the incident. Odoro said that the officers of the force are doing their utmost to ensure quick rescue of the victims.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the FRSC had warned its officers against chasing erring motorists no matter the traffic offence committed.
Legit.ng gathered that the Corps spokesman, Bisi Kazeem, gave the warning in a telephone interview with agency in Lagos on Saturday, April 13.
Kazeem, who was reacting to media reports of an accident on Friday, April 12 in Ibadan following a chase by FRSC officers, noted that the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, frowned at the incident.
