Women make unnecessary noise in the labour room - Nigerian man says

- A Facebook user identified as Cyprian Akabudike has come under attack after sharing his views about women in labour rooms

- According to him, women make unnecessary noise in labour room and those who are not fit should not bother running the race

- His post sparked outrage on social media and he got heavily criticised for it

- He has however stated that he was only joking and only meant to gain attention on the internet

A Facebook user identified as Cyprian Akabudike has incurred the wrath of many social media users after he shared a post claiming that women make unnecessary noise in the labour room. He went further to compare the process of birthing a human to that of chicken laying eggs.

Akabudike stated that if chicken and other animals who lay eggs need no assistance when birthing their kind why do women then make seem like such a huge deal. Cyprian declared that women make unnecessary noise in the birthing room and adviced that those who are not up to the task should 'shift' to one side.

His post sparked a lot of outrage on social media and most internet users attacked him for being careless with his words. Many fired at him and all manner of insults were rained on him for saying such about women.

However, Cyprian has stated that he meant the post as a joke and was only looking for attention on social media. After receiving several backlashes for his statement, he responded in the comment section of his profile on Facebook and claimed that he was misinterpreted.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old woman has sadly lost her life after delivering quintuplets in Asaba, Delta state.

The woman identified as Chukwunonso Onyejekwe died due to complications after the delivery of her babies.

According to Vanguard, the woman's death was confirmed by the head of clinical services and training, Emmanuel Ezeunu, at the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba. Ezunu had revealed that the woman died 15 hours after she delivered her quintuplets.

Ezunu had also confirmed that she died due to acute respiratory failure after giving birth successfully through Cesarean Section.
